Hastings Senior Health & Living, a 5-star rated, 72-bed long-term care campus, is hiring a Full-Time Therapeutic Activities Director to join our team. In this important role, you will manage a small team of activities professionals, plan and conduct fun and exciting activities for our residents.

This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position.
Therapeutic Activities Director responsibilities:
-Manage small team of activities professionals.
-Ensure meaningful activities are scheduled and executed seven days a week.
-Encourage, support, and assist residents with activities.
-Display an attitude of courtesy and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
Therapeutic Activities Director skills and requirements:
Must have either a certification OR be in process to receive certification through a nationally recognized certifying body for Activity Professionals. Certifications include, ACC, ADC, ADC-Provisional, CTRS, COTA.
OR
Must be a Registered Occupational Therapist.
At least 2 years full time experience in a resident/patient activity program in the past 5 years (Can be cumulative).
OR
1+ year of experience working in an assisted living, independent, or long-term care environment preferred.
-Desire to work with the older adults required.
-Artistic and musical skills are a plus.
-Strong interpersonal and social skills are vital.
-Good customer service instincts will be important in interacting with family members and visitors.
-Engaging, enthusiastic, willing to learn, and overflowing with creativity to share in planning new activities
