The USIRG FAQ Follow up

For those at the WRAP 2026 Conference, here is a follow up from Jessica:

A statement was made during the conference that facilities are stating they are not able to make changes to an IDDSI prescribed diet and cannot take into consideration the resident’s choice.

What the guidance says is that the IDDSI framework itself cannot be altered; however, exceptions can be made on a case by case, person centered basis.  The USIRG FAQ page addresses this very clearly.
